Courses in Tamworth

All of our learning opportunities have been carefully developed using our years of hands on experience gained working with adults with learning difficulties, learning disabilities, challenging behaviour, mental health and or autistic spectrum disorder.

Everything we do is centred on you, as we want you to enjoy your course as well as learn new skills and enhance ones you currently have. Courses are delivered in our own workshops and gardens at our Tamworth centre.  The courses we deliver are Creative Craft and Design, Woodcraft and Horticulture.  Through our outreach sites we deliver employability courses, for more details about our courses do call Heidi Benton our Head of Learning and Development on 0121 358 8161.

Where possible we base our learning opportunities on a Social Enterprise model, helping you learn practical skills as well as work based skills. We ensure all our courses will give you a recognised and accredited qualification helping you move forward in life.

We have City & Guilds Approved Centre Status

City & Guilds awarded Care First Limited, a private specialist training and development college, Centre Approval, in 2015, after successfully passing a strict and stringent assessment process. This enables Care First Limited to purchase and deliver, practical fully approved City & Guilds courses of a high standard.

These clearly thought out well designed robust courses allow us to offer flexible, stress free, hands-on vocational training to students who learn differently and prefer practical learning to academic learning.

On completion of our courses, students gain widely recognised and accepted City and Guilds award/ qualifications.  This recognition builds confidence in the learning process and boosts individuals self-esteem and inner belief.
