Course requirements
Participants do not need to have any other qualifications or experience. Whatever difficulties or disabilities they may have will be catered for sensitively and our only requirement is that the participant attends regularly. For the educational courses funded by the LSC, the individual must be eligible under the Basic Skills criteria.

The enrolment process
There is an initial interview at which an initial assessment is carried out to identify the Individual’s abilities and needs and whether the course is appropriate. If our course is considered inappropriate, then the individual cannot be enrolled. If the assessment identifies that the course is appropriate, the individual will be enrolled and specific paperwork and forms prepared in order to draw funding from the LSC. During the initial 6 weeks, further assessment will be carried out in order to prepare a learning plan for the duration of the course. If the individual requires specific additional support on the course, this will be assessed and further forms completed.
