An increasing proportion of our referrals are for individuals with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

A large number of our staff are specifically trained and experienced with this particular disability and there are a significant number of success stories and changed lives both for the individuals concerned and their families.

Due to the large amount of referrals being made to Care First for adults with autism, we are working with Psychiatrists – Psychologists in the diagnosis and treatment of adults with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

In dealing with complex cases and personality disorders, Care First in consultation with other professionals is now better placed to seek assistance not only for undiagnosed/diagnosed clients, but also for assisting the carers who are often unsure how to work with their son or daughter, or how to access services.

Our work with professionals also assists with our emphasis on the best service and treatment for the Individual referred, enabling our service to then enhance ‘the life long inclusive learning’ of all Clients referred to Care First.
