Chris Winter (Managing & Opertations Director)
As the founder of Care First Ltd in 1996, Chris is responsible for all strategic and operational matters, including business development, human resources, curriculum and health and safety. His extensive knowledge and experience of the sector and the needs of individuals with disabilities and difficulties has enabled him to steer the company to where it is now. However his vision is much greater. His mission is for Care First Ltd to do much more to improve the quality of life for people through learning and personal development.

Neil Thorogood (Finance Director)
As co-founder of Care First Ltd and a Chartered Accountant, Neil’s responsibilities include the financial management of the company and all legal administration. He has extensive experience gained over 25 years and has been involved with the education and training sector for the past 15 years. His commitment is to develop the company into the leading provider of educational services and products to disabled people.

Veronica Winter (Resources Director)
Veronica is responsible for learning resources and purchasing. Her other responsibilities include human resource management, quality audit of the provision and overseeing learner enrolments and registers. As director of Care First since incorporation, she has been central to the company’s development and diversification.

Christine Thorogood (Legal Director)
Christine has been responsible since incorporation for payroll services and advises the Board on legal issues affecting the company. She occasionally advises on development opportunities.

Glenys Jones (Auditing and Systems Manager)
Responsible for auditing the paper work completed by tutors and classroom assistants to ensure the company complies with colleges and learning skills council’s requirements. She is also responsible for processing referrals regarding the Skills Tanks.Her commitment to this role supports the Managing Director in achieving his company compliance and quality systems objectives.

Nicky Ellis (Contracts Manager)
Nicky has responsibility for the preparation, maintenance and recording of all learner documentation. This includes enrolments, registers, schemes of work and lesson plans. She also manages the in house learner management information and reports to the directors.

Debbie Tipper (P.A to Directors)
Debbie is the personal assistant to the Directors and welcomes staff, learners and vistors. Her friendly approach makes everyone feel welcome whether it is on the telephone or with a visit to our office. Her work is extremely varied and covers a variety of secretarial, administrative and supportive duties.
