Care First is dedicated to providing adults with disabilities learning facilities within Colleges.

Care First Limited was established in 1996.
Care First began with a short summer school at North Birmingham College in Great Barr. The response was overwhelming and within 3 years, the company was running independent living skills courses in subjects such as IT, cookery and horticulture to over 300 adults with learning disabilities and other special needs.

Our key successes

1996

•	Established June 1996 – First summer school .
•	Won first franchise contract with North Birmingham College.

1997

•	Became provider of specialist behavioural training.
•	Established Care First Management Services Limited - providing training and consultancy services within the care sector.

2001

•	Expanded into other partnerships with further education colleges – key contract wins included Sandwell, Bournville and Henley colleges.

2002

•	Developed new curriculum programme for life skills.
•	Further contract wins included Tamworth college.

2003

•	Opened new offices in Birmingham – reached a total of 80 staff.
•	Represented by our managing director on the Health Care Task Force.
•	Secured contract with Cannock College.

2004

•	Entered Gruntvig programme – European network of sharing best practice.
•	Launched our website.

2005

2007

•	Opened 'Skills Tank' in Great Barr - practical activities for adults with disabilities. Opened 'Skills Tank' in Erdington - practical activities for adults with disabilities.
